The bigger Corps basically own the American government through its questionable lobbying system. That basically means America is a Corporatist state where representation has been removed from the individual and placed into the hands of an elite few. Effectively its running as a fascist movement with scratchings of a handful of senators who will not be bought. If those senators can be bought then America then effectively operates as a Fascist state.It reallly is that close - America needs to remove the donations system and replace it with legal obligations that are transparent and remove the power from corporations to bribe their targets. Removing any and all donations to individual senators is the first step. Limiting the donation size to the party as whole is the next step. A $5000 limit must be the norm or else representation is but a few zero's away and party favor and internal intimidation becomes the norm. It already exists through deceit and bullying (power games). A government should represent the people who put it there or else GTFO!!
